School raffles gun, since "Bake sales are a thing of the past."
Rifle Raffle Raises Money For School Safety: A parent-teacher organization in the Texas Hill Country is raffling off a deer rifle.
The goal is to raise $15,000 to fence in a portion of a junior high school, where strangers have accosted students during gym class.
"Bake sales are a thing of the past," said one of the organizers.
Seems a shame the drawing wasn't held before the start of deer season, but at least the school district is not so politically correct they won't raffle a gun.
