We were just getting into a truck, the folks I was with and I, heading from one church to another in Lubumbashi. As we were starting to drive away, a group of boys started following us (it was a pretty typical game - the kids would run after the cars, trying to catch up). A young lady with us asked the African minister who was guiding us, "how many of them will die?" He responded, in that dry way you relate a fact, "About a third."It may not be nice to consider these things, but in order to understand something, you must at least look at it objectively.
