No Link for Carnival of the Vanities

Not from me anyway. This weeks host, Dr. Zen, takes issue with my feeling that Americans should be able to defend themselves when attacked. He hoped that the old man would be prosecuted for murder. You are free to disagree, but don't expect me to link to you if you are insulting

His response to assault - give them what they want.

It is clear to me that Dr. Zen has never faced a rapist, or a gay basher. What should I do, Dr. Zen, if faced with a rapist? Give him what he wants? Sorry, but I would rather give him what he deserves - a couple of hollow point slugs carefully aimed. And if you were confronted by a gay-basher (or a Klan member, or any other person bent solely on injuring you), then what would you do, Dr. Zen?

Then of course there are times when even giving attackers what they want won't save you, even if all they ask for is money. This is illustrated by the recent case in Georgia where robbers opened fire because the store owner was not giving them the money "fast enough."

Dr. Zen is a typical liberal twit. No use of force is justified in his mind. I really wonder what his answer to the rapist/gay basher question will be. I expect his answer will be to ignore the question. (I will post his answer if he has the brass to answer.)

Update: It seems Classical Values is also taking issue with Dr. Zen.
