Peregrine Falcons Make Comeback

FalconExpeditions @ Field Museum - Hennen - About the Expedition These beautiful birds are making quite a comeback in the Midwest.

The Field Museum site has photos, maps and even a webcam or 2. There are 13 pairs of Peregrines in the Chiacgoland area. Most of the chicks are getting ready to take their first flight about now.

The really cool thing about Falcons is that they hunt other birds, and in a city like Chicago that means pigeons. And anything that gets rid of pigeons is a good thing.
