“It wasn't as frightening as it would have been if I didn't have the gun,” [Phyllis Friesen] said.She had a .357 in her lap, and waited patiently for the sheriff's deputies to arrive.
When they did, they found 42-year-old Jerry D. Gensamer in Friesen's truck trying to start it with his keys. Police say alcohol is involved. Gensamer is in jail charged with any number of things including resisting arrest.
No one injured, but an elderly woman was safe, not because of the police, but because of cold steel and the threat of hot lead. [via KABA]
