8th Grader Shoots Her Way to Nationals

Shooting Sports: Getting Kids Involved

The Times-Reporter: Ohio 8th-grader shoots way to nationals This is a nice story about Chelsea Frink, a young shooter, who is moving up in the competitive standing, with hopes of going to the Olympcis. She competes in air rifle matches.
Frink, ... recently competed in the USA Air Rifle National Championships at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs and she also qualified for the NRA Nationals that will be held next month in Redmond, Ore.

She qualified for the nationals with a strong showing at the NRA sectionals held at the University of Akron in April, where she earned a spot on the Ohio Rifle and Pistol Assn. team in air rifle. She will compete in a three-position event.

“I started shooting when I was eight,” said Frink, who will turn 14 next month. “I got involved because of a friend of the family and they (the Musketeers) offered me a membership.”
