Armed citizens who shoot in self-defense would gain legal protection from civil lawsuits and criminal charges under six bills signed Thursday by Gov. Jennifer Granholm.
The six bills amount to the Castle Doctrine/Stand Your Ground changes being enacted all over the country to give the advantage to law-abiding citizens, not violent criminals.
