The Economic News is Still Good

Durable goods orders surge in June. June durable goods orders were up 3.1 percent. Excluding transportation - civilian aircraft up 8.8% and military aircraft up 12.9% - durable good orders rose 1%. Also the May numbers were revised from a decline of 0.2% to a rise of 0.3%

So much for a "slowing economy" that the Left and the usual suspects have been declaring. Now of course the economy is going to slow down - it grew 5.3% in the first quarter of this year... that is NOT sustainable. A slowing economy under these conditions is expected. But there has been talk of a recession... I think this is wishful thinking on the part of the Democrats. What other hope do they have but a recession to take back the House and Senate. (Can't they blame tax cuts for something?)
