Not Every Police Officer is Your Friend

Belleville News-Democrat | 07/16/2006 | Police sergeant in Illinois college town charged While there are a lot of good police in the world, not all of them are on the right side of the law.
Jeffrey Scott Pelo faces two counts of home invasion and four counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault just two days after he was indicted on charges of stalking a woman who said she found him lurking outside her home late at night.
If the charges are true (innocent until proven guilty...) he deserves the worst the Criminal Justice system can dish out.
Assistant State's Attorney Mark Messman said in court that two of the rape victims had positively identified Pelo as their attacker in a photographic lineup and had identified his voice. He also said investigators found a mask, pry bar and other items in his home that appeared to have been used in at least one of the assaults.
When police are attacked, the attackers are held to a higher standard of justice. What happens when the police themselves cross the line?
