The Castle Doctrine in Action

The Cincinnati Post - Intruder in home today shot, killed Kentucky has a pretty good version of the Castle Doctrine, so it is unlikely charges will be brought against the homeowner.

I mean, it someone breaks into your home at 3:30 in the morning, what would you do?
"We believe the victim (Setzer) and the other person in the house were in fear of their lives at the time," [Lt. Col. Spike Jones, spokesman for the Covington Police Department] said. "It's our belief at this time that the homeowner was fending off a continuing assault."
(Spike Jones? Probably no one remembers the musician by that name.)

Police are not saying what caliber handgun was used nor are they saying how many shots were fired.
