Crossing America: On the road to the US elections - Telegraph A British editor and photographer are setting out on a cross-country trek to get a feeling for where Americans stand.
The first stop - the only one so far - has them in Portland Maine where the yellow ribbon has become a political issue. (Talk about a stupid issue.) You see the anti-war crowd doesn't want to support the troops, because they might be confused with supporting the war... or something.
