Cries of Racism

Racism Outcry Shadows CA Robbery Case | November 16, 2007 | AHN 3 people break into a home at 4 AM. They beat the homeowner's step son with a baseball bat. The homeowner defends himself. 2 of the 3 are shot dead. The third home-invader is charged with murder in the deaths of his two accomplices. Because he is black, there are cries of racism.

Apparently this doctrine isn't used much in California. It is used all the time in Florida. If you break the law, and someone dies as a direct result of your crime, you are liable to face a murder charge. Sounds right to me. But it offends the tender sensibilities of the reality-based community, who apparently don't believe that man has the right to defend himself and his family from home-invaders at four o'clock in the morning.
