San Francisco Gun Ban Gets Tossed

San Jose Mercury News - Appeals court upholds gun ownership rights in San Francisco I don't know why they enacted this. It was sure to get tossed and it did. (A virtually identical ban was tossed a few years ago.)

SAN FRANCISCO—A city ordinance banning handgun possession in San Francisco will stay off the books, after a state appeals court sides with gun owners and upholds a lower court's decision overturning the law.

But hey, no one said San Francisco was a smart town.
