Woman Discovers Police Can't Help You

Standoff housemate criticizes Gwinnett police for abandoning her | ajc.com She wants this to sound like a "cops behaving badly" post, but it isn't.

They had men down. It appears she wasn't injured at that time. How did they need to help her out of the house?

Now when she was trying to get out and they ordered her to lie down in a building where there was an active shooter, that was bad decision-making on someone's part. Using the Taser when she did exit the house was maybe overkill, unless she was acting erratically. Still, I doubt she constituted a threat to the officers at that point.

People want the police to take them by the hand, to save them, and treat them like children, but that isn't how things work in the real world.
