Blogging vs Real Life

Real life usually wins out in that contest. Things will be just a bit quiet around here.

People seem to think that the SCOTUS hearing on the DC Gun Ban is a big case. You can't tell anything from the hearing, the big news will be when the decision is published.

The big story is Obama's speech as he tries to disassociate himself from the views of his pastor for 20 years.

A must-read post on the subject comes from Juliette Ochieng (Baldilocks). She has all of the coverage in one spot

The idea that it is OK to associate with a racists seems to be lost on the American people. Obama's lead over Clinton narrows: Reuters poll - Yahoo! News But the big piece of that story is the following.
McCain leads 46 percent to 40 percent in a hypothetical matchup against Obama in the November presidential election, according to the poll.

That is a sharp turnaround from the Reuters/Zogby poll from last month, which showed in a head-to-head matchup that Obama would beat McCain 47 percent to 40 percent.

"The last couple of weeks have taken a toll on Obama and in a general election match-up, on both Democrats," said pollster John Zogby.

Matched up against Clinton, McCain leads 48 percent to 40 percent, narrower than his 50 to 38 percent advantage over her in February.
So enjoy the spectacle of this year's campaign season.
