Self-defense on Campus Nevada, other states eye guns on campus Both sides are working the issue. Gun-control weenies want more gun control. Self-defense advocates want people to be able to defend themselves.

Students for Concealed Carry on Campus
is growing pretty quickly right now.
Since the Feb. 14 shooting at Northern Illinois, where a former graduate student killed five people before taking his own life, SCCC membership has swelled from 11,000 to about 20,000 at about 500 colleges and universities in just three weeks, [Kristin Guttormsen, a director with Students for Concealed Carry on Campus,] said.
Gun bans have been shown over and over and over again to do nothing but disarm the law-abiding leaving a free field of action for anyone bent on violence. Putting up "No Crime Allowed" signs really doesn't have a chance of preventing crime.

Personally I think it would be good if SCCC was a major force on every campus in every state. [NRA-ILA]
