The Drug-deal That Wasn't

Jury: Ex-cop lied about 92-year-old's shooting - CNN.com The cops said an "informant" bought drugs at the address. The informant said he was never at that address. The result of the lie was a search warrant (no knock of course.) The result of the search warrant was a dead grandmother.
Tesler testified that he went along with a cover-up because he felt threatened by his fellow officers. He said he was instructed by two other officers after the shooting to memorize a cover-up story that they had witnessed an informant buying drugs at Johnston's home.
Which begs the question, how often does this kind of thing happen in Atlanta?

So are we winning the war on (some) drugs, or are we losing our rights?
