Maybe We Need to Enact Molotov Cocktail Control

(If you don't know how to make a Molotov Cocktail, I am not going to tell you.) Pittsburg man arrested in Molotov cocktail attack - San Jose Mercury News Or maybe people just need to give up the idea of killing and injuring the people they once loved.

This was a domestic violence attack.
"When we arrived ... we noted the back door from this unit to the balcony had a rope tied to the balcony support, preventing anyone inside from opening the door," Pittsburg police Lt. Brian Addington said. "The front door also had a small rope attached to it."
The woman are her 10-year-old daughter escaped from the fire without being injured.

Another example of the "How dare you live without me" attitude. People just need to get over it and get on with their lives. I'd like to say this guy is off the streets and no longer a threat, but this isn't the first time he has been arrested on domestic violence charges. He was arrested in March, but no charges were filed.... since District Attorneys often feel domestic violence isn't important enough to bother with. This time he is charged with attempted murder and arson, so something will probably be done - those crimes are "sexy" enough to help a DA further his career.
