So if you meet these two mountain lions, just beat them off with a stick. That'll work!
Officials have advised walkers and hikers to take precautions. They suggest people avoid taking outings alone, especially between dusk and dawn, and carry a walking stick. If you encounter a mountain lion, experts recommend you stay calm and face the animal. Do not run -- that could trigger the lion's instinct to attack. And try to appear as large as possible by standing very straight and making noise. If attacked, they urge people to fight back.Too bad they don't have access to something that would really let them fight back effectively.
What would you shoot a mountain lion with? Me, I would use whatever I had available.
And it is too bad that the authorities can't see that the "fight back" suggestion applies to the two-footed predators as well as the four-footed.
