No Felony Charges for Dumping a Man Out of a Wheelchair.

MyFox Tampa Bay | Deal for deputy in wheelchair-dumping You all know this woman. Charlette Marshall-Jones became famous when she - then a Hillsborough County Deputy - dumped Brian Sterner - a quadriplegic - out of his wheelchair on video tape. Video that went on to be on every news center, YouTube, etc. (You can find that video here.)

She cut a deal. Instead of facing 5 years in prison for class 3 felony, she has to do 100 hours of community service. (That is less than 1 month of full-time work. Some punishment.)

Somehow I don't think if the injured party was a law-enforcement officer, the accused would get this kind of deal. But then I am cynical.
