FDR, TV and Joe Biden

Several folks have pointed out that if Sarah Palin talked about FDR being on TV in 1929, it would be the subject of late-night comedy and front-page news stories. Joe Biden gets a pass. Is that media bias?

FDR was the first President to speak on TV. He made a speech that was shown at the opening of the 1939 World's Fair.

Truman was the first President to address the nation from the White House.

Then of course there is the fact that FDR was elected in 1932 and didn't take office until 1933. So why he would be address the country on television in 1929... maybe Mr. Biden can explain that sometime. Not that he will ever get a question from the media on this.
