How Dare You Live Without Me

Man shoots rival, kills self, say authorities - The Boston GlobeThe age-old issue of people not understanding the sentence, "It's over!"
HANSON - A Whitman man shot the boyfriend of a former lover before fatally shooting himself in the head in an attempted murder-suicide yesterday in this town south of Boston, police said.
In a very predictable way, neighbors are disturbed to discover that they don't live in Pleasantville, but actually live in the Real World™ with the rest of us.
"We've never had problems in this town," [a neighbor] said. "It was just the craziest thing. I didn't expect to see anything like this. We're in Hanson, such a small town."
And as we all know, violent crime never happens in small town America. Right.

If you are reading this, you live in the Real World™ and out here in reality, violent crime can happen to anyone, anywhere. Violent crime isn't something that only happens to "other kinds of people" in "other kinds of places."

Domestic violence covers all demographics. Pretending otherwise won't make you safe.
