"Nice Kid" Dead in What May Be Justifiable Homicide

It seems that even in California, self-defense is legal. Police Say San Pablo Teen Slaying Was 'Excusable Homicide' | San Francisco
San Pablo police have alleged that Sanders and a second male had been attempting to rob A&L Posters, a store located at 14650 San Pablo Ave., shortly after 5 p.m. when the store owner shot him multiple times.

The second alleged robber ran away after the shooting and police were still looking for him Wednesday.

San Pablo police Lt. Mark Foisie said the district attorney's office would make the final decision about whether the store owner, who had been the victim of several violent robberies in the past, was justified in shooting Sanders.

"Based on what I saw, it's going to end up being an excusable homicide," Foisie said.
"Nice kid," was how he was described by a teacher.

The Brady Bunch and the gun-grabbing ilk will count this as a "teen tragically shot." They don't let facts - like justifiable homicide, robbery, etc. - cloud their views of firearms and self-defense.
