Ohio Gets 'Castle Doctrine' - 'Castle Doctrine' law defends those who defend themselves People in your home, business or vehicle illegally are presumed to be a threat. No civil suits by goblins or their relatives for injuries - or death - that result from their illegal activities and legal self-defense.

Don't think this is the full "stand your ground" package, but it is a pretty good start for Ohio.
Sen. Steve Buehrer (R-Delta), primary sponsor of the legislation, worked on the bill for several years and a couple of general assemblies. He called its passage and implementation a victory for law-abiding citizens.

"I think it's a great victory not only for people who support Second Amendment issues, but people who simply want to feel safer in their homes, safer in their communities," he said.
Self-defense is a human right. The new law took effect Sept. 9th. [hat tip to NRA-ILA]
