Teen Shot By Homeowner In Robbery Attempt - Indiana News Story - WRTV Indianapolis They attacked a man who was armed with a .45 pistol.
"The homeowner was armed with a .45-caliber handgun. He fired a warning shot to get them off him, striking one juvenile in the abdomen area," Morgan County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Bob Downey said.

The teens got back into their car -- which was reported stolen out of Marion County -- and led police on a short chase through the park, crashing into a mobile home.

The 17-year-old boy who was shot was chased down by neighbors, while another teen was found hiding in a nearby pickup truck. A 16-year-old girl, who police said was the getaway driver, turned herself in to police.
The guy who was shot is in "serious but stable condition."

The response of the neighborhood is great.
"If he got shot doing something he wasn't supposed to do, then oh well," said neighbor Jennifer Simpson. "I don't think the guy should be in trouble."
Self-defense is a human right.
