Did He or Didn't He

U.S. Sen. Roland Burris tries to quell new questions about his controversial appointment by Blagojevich -- What a surprise! A Chicago Machine politician is caught in a (near) lie.

You see when Roland Burris said he didn't meet with or discuss anything with folks in Governor Blagojevich's office, he neglected to mention that he did speak to the ex-Governor's brother - several times.
Yet Burris has been forced to gradually—and sometimes grudgingly—acknowledge deeper connections to Blagojevich and a growing list of contacts with former aides, lobbyists and campaign supporters for Blagojevich. On Sunday Burris argued that he was always forthright about his contacts, while seeking to brush aside the fact that the details spilled out over the course of weeks—with the most complete accounting coming weeks after he was sworn into the Senate.
Get used to it folks. Chicago politics rule the day. And now Chicago politics are DC politics.

Of course, now the FBI is asking to meet with the Junior Senator from Illinois. Can't imagine why.

If you wanna play, you gotta pay.
