I Think They Should Have Been Tried for Murder

JusticeEx-Atlanta officers get prison time for cover-up in deadly raid - But at least they were tried.
hree former Atlanta police officers were sentenced Tuesday to prison terms ranging from five to 10 years for covering up a botched drug raid in which a 92-year-old woman was killed.
They plead guilty to "charges of conspiracy to violate civil rights resulting in death." It is something I suppose.

False statements to get a no-knock warrant. False statements after the fact to cover up their "mistakes."

One dead grandmother who hadn't done anything wrong.

Are we winning the War on (some) Drugs? Atlanta revamped their anti-drug unit in the aftermath of this fiasco. I think we are still sliding into a police state. [Hat tip to Tam]
