Welcome to the Police State

Police hospitalize 7-year-old under Baker Act - St. Petersburg Times Where cops can take a 7-year-old kid away from his mother because he threw a tantrum at school.
The boy spent the night alone at Morton Plant Hospital before he was seen by a child psychologist the next day and discharged.
What "severe bodily harm" was a 7-year-old capable of doing? That's the criteria for the Baker Act. (If the cops don't like you/you aren't cooperating you can be taken in for evaluation.) [Via Uncle]
