Chicago Top Cop Defies Court Order

Mayor Richard Daley defends Chicago Police Supt. Jody Weis for not releasing list of cops -- chicagotribune.com I'm sorry, but I thought cops were supposed to enforce court orders... or at least pretend to be interested in enforcing court orders. But things are different in Chicago.

The department was ordered in December by Magistrate Judge Maria Valdez to submit a "repeater list" of officers who have accumulated at least five complaints since 2002. ...

But Weis declined to provide the list before Friday's deadline.

Mayor Daley is all on board with Weis violating court orders. I mean, he has all these folks who used to work for him in Washington. They will fix things.
