This would appear to be another tragedy of domestic violence. Arrest in murder of Long Island mom An ex-boyfriend, jailed previously for violating a restraining order, is arrested for murder.

The victim's uncle said, "the system failed her." He said the suspect "was just locked up a little over a month ago for kidnapping her, strangling her and trying to throw her in the trunk of a car. He put a gun to her head...and they let him out."

That they would let him out is predictable.

New York, being New York, it is impossible to defend yourself. And they system is worthless.
