John Antonetz, 63, and his wife Lydia, 57, were loading groceries [in a Wal-Mart parking lot] when a man tried to rob them, the report said. As the robber tried to take her purse, Antonetz "went around to the passenger side of the vehicle and retrieved his revolver from his concealed holster in his pants. Mr. Antonetz then went to the rear of the vehicle and observed Suspect 1 pointing a revolver at his wife. Mr. Antonetz then shot at Supsect 1 three times and once more when Suspect 1 got into Vehicle 1." He drove away with two other people. The three would-be robbers were arrested at a local hospital when one of them showed up with a gunshot wound to the buttocks. A "minor use of force" was required to put handcuffs on one of the miscreants.
