A total of 17 people have been infected with Clostridium difficile at a hospital in Moray.This is one of the bugs that is nearly resistant to anti-biotic drugs.
NHS Grampian said that, of those, eight remained on the wards at Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin.
C. diff seems to be a regular problem at UK's National Health Service hospitals. Given descriptions of the lack of basic cleanliness, I'm not surprised. (Hey, you're lucky to have free health care, even if it is killing you. You could have to pay for it like we do. </sarcasm>)
