During that time morrow petitioned for several restraining orders against the suspect.

Court documents show she reported abuse including smacking, stomping, beating, and being threatened for her life.

There was an active restraining order. Police removed him from her home a month ago. None of that appears to have done any good.

A gun may not have saved this woman, but I really don't know what else could have. She did everything she was "supposed" to do. She called the police. She went to the courts. That didn't work.

She couldn't fight back. She couldn't run away. What could she have done?
