Because Dealing With A Bear In Your Home Shouldn't Require a Gun

The liberals in NYC and inside the Beltway love to say no one needs a gun. So exactly what should the homeowner have done when a bear forced its way into his house? Small Bear Wanders Into Colorado Home -
The incident happened Friday night when the 100-pound bear pushed its way through a heavy door into the house and started growling. The unnamed homeowner shot the bear four times with a Colt .45 revolver as it made its way to a staircase.
They live inside their gated communities, in their safe, suburban neighborhoods and decide that he whole world is exactly what they see out the front door. The truth is a bit more complicated.

In the Real World™ there are things like wild animals, and violent criminals, who aren't impressed with your taste in shade-grown, fair trade lattes. They only see you as something to consume.
The resident called authorities after the bear died. Wildlife officials say the bear's hide will be used for educational purposes and that the shooting was justified.
Don't tell PETA, they probably think the homeowner should have sacrificed himself, or his children, to protect the bear. Freakin' idiots.
