The homeowner walked into his house on Faculty Drive late Monday night when he was attacked by another man, deputies said.

The homeowner then shot the other man, and both of them were taken to a nearby hospital, according to deputies.

The homeowner was hit with a pipe and stabbed before he was able to shoot his attacker. Both are in hospital.
