They Suffered a Failure of the Victim Selection Process

Burglars meet armed homeowner. Can you guess the outcome? Homeowner shoots burglar - A Hillsborough man found three people in his house
The homeowner told police he heard someone forcing his door open so he got his gun and found three people standing in his living room.

Police said he fired one shot and hit 19-year-old Christopher Williams in the chest.
If you break into enough homes, you will eventually meet an armed resident. Results in that case are fairly predicable. (If you are really unlucky, that will happen on the first time.)

The Brady Bunch will count this as a "teen tragically shot." The fact that the "teen" is legally an adult, engaged in a crime doesn't matter to them.

The injured guy and another burglar are in custody. Two more are being sought by police.

Self-defense is a human right.
