Stevens told officers that he heard his dogs barking and went outside with his pistol to check the property.

When he reached the driveway, Stevens said the teenager pointed a gun at him and fired one round.

Stevens told officers he fired his gun twice at the suspect and hit him in the chest and lower body.

Police found the kid across the street with 2 gunshot wounds. He was treated at a local hospital and arrested.

A second teen was found hiding a nearby woods and was also arrested.

Both are charged with attempted aggravated robbery.

If you tangle with enough homeowners, sooner or later you will find an armed homeowner. As in this case, he may be a better shot than you are.
