Home Invaders Meet Armed Homeowner

The results are quite predictable. Burglar Shot By Homeowner - WREG
(Memphis 4/26/10) A Raleigh man grabbed his gun and shot one of three teenage intruders who tried to break into his home Monday morning.

He managed to scare off the other two would-be burglars but his family says their house is not new to crime. The family who lives there seems to think their home is a target and they bought a gun to protect it.
For once, the neighbors are not shocked.
Neighbors say it's the third house to be hit by burglars so far this year. The spike in crime has many willing to do anything to protect themselves.

"Any other homeowner would do the same thing," says neighbor, Jeff Jordan. "It's just ridiculous how they're constantly trying to break into people's homes trying to steal the goods that we work so hard for."
Of course you don't know that they are only after things. People invading your home are a threat, which is why this kind of shooting is (usually) legal. (At least in places that aren't more worried about the criminals than they are about the victims.)

Self-defense is a human right.
