Home Invaders Meet Armed Homeowner

It was clearly a "him or me" kind of situation. Police: Homeowner not being charged in fatal shooting at this time - CHARLESTON, SC So what would do if three armed thugs broke into your house and threatened you and your family with harm?
Horry County Police say a Conway homeowner who shot and killed a man who threatened him and his wife at gunpoint is not facing charges at this time.
They pointed a gun at him and at his wife. He pulled a .357 magnum and shot one of them three times. (That will ruin your day!) That guy's body was found near the home.

The two other thugs ran like rabbits. One guy is in custody (not sure if he had been charged by the time this article was published), and police are looking a third guy, but have no description.

Self-defense is a human right, and in South Carolina it is also your legal right (at least in your home - gotta love the Castle Doctrine).

Good for the homeowner for being prepared to defend his loved ones and himself. And good for South Carolina for being a state that recognizes the human right to self defense, particularly in one's castle.
