Judge Acknowledges Reality - The Usual Suspects Have a Fit

So what would you tell people in a county that has had its police protection reduced to near zero? Amid cuts, Ohio judge tells citizens to carry guns |
With deputies assigned to transport prisoners and serve warrants, only one radio car is assigned to patrol the county of 720 square miles, excluding municipalities with police departments. The sheriff's patrol area covers most of the county, the judge said Friday.
Say it again: 1 car covers roughly 720 square miles. How long do you think it will take that one car to respond if someone dials 911? Do you think the bad guys will wait quietly until the cop gets there, or do you think the good people of Ashtabula County will be mostly on their own?

They had no trouble finding a gun-fearing-weenie (in the person of a woman judge from an urban area) to say she would never carry a gun! (Bully for her.)

So what would you do if you suddenly discovered that where you were living had virtually no police presence?

That's what happened in Argentina, it was a holiday for criminals.
