Memo to all cops: If there is a consulate in your town, know where it is

Houston cops harass, arrest and injure a Chinese diplomat. Diplomat beaten, injured by Houston police, China says - The Globe and Mail For the really really horrible crime of driving without a license plate. (And failing to obey the order of your masters the police.)
According to a CBS News report, Houston police last Saturday tried to stop a car which was missing a license plate. When the car didn't stop, they pursued it into a garage without realizing the garage belonged to the Chinese Consulate. Police handcuffed and arrested the driver, injuring him, the CBS report said.
The things I miss because I don't have a TV.

I think the cops in question should be turned over to the Chinese government. The crime occurred on Chinese soil, after all. (Like an embassy.)

I wonder how they would like having to follow the rules of the Chinese authorities. [via Bad Cop, No Donut!]

I really need to start a cops behaving stupidly category.
