Flying Rats Put End to Wind Power in British School

Portland school turns off wind turbine to halt seabird slaughter (From Dorset Echo)

£20,000 investment in a wind turbine that was turned off because 14 seagulls were killed in 6 months.
Mr McLeod came into school early to clear up the fatalities but when the deaths happened at playtimes and lunchtimes, the children got upset and he worried about the impact on the birds.
I mean be fair, it is for the kids. Forget about clean energy, these kids might have to think about death. Or the death of birds? Imagine having to think about birds being killed while eating your chicken nuggets.

Hahaha! When I hear "seabirds" I tend to think gulls - which are like crows or pigeons, the school kids could be out practicing their trapshooting on live ones and it would be no harm.
