How is a 91-year-old Supposed to Defend Himself Without a Firearm?

I really wish that someone in the anti-gun crowd would explain this. Police: 91-year-old Houston homeowner shoots, kills man during struggle
Investigators said the homeowner, who is known for being generous in the community, had given the victim money just a few days prior to the shooting.

Police believed the young man came back looking for more money, but the homeowner refused.
Could this be the "entitlement mentality" in action? The thug apparently believed he was entitled to the old man's money.

Anyway, it didn't work out very well for the 30-year-old.
Police said the homeowner kept a number of weapons inside the house. The younger man went for one of the weapons and the two men struggled. That’s when the homeowner shot the man in the head.
No word on if charges will be filed, but I doubt they will be in Texas, where self-defense is a legal right.

Self-defense is a human-right. Good Guys 1, Bad Guys 0.
