While his wife was on the phone with 911, the husband stormed in and grabbed his pistol when he saw a man standing at his back door.Later it sounds more like "he shot at" than actually shot, but who expects journalists to write clearly?
He shot the knife-wielding visitor twice before the man took off out the back door.
Midwest City Chief Brandon Clabes said, "The best thing to do is call 911 and stay a safe distance away and observe. That's what we need you to do."So what they need you to do is act like a frightened sheep, cower (at a safe distance) and call for help. Of course that doesn't always work out too well.
Self-defense is a human right. (And if the guy did get shot...) Good Guys 1, Bad Guys 0. (Also, don't bring a knife to a gunfight.)
