Wisconsin has some pretty unique wildlife, but this is something you don't see everyday.They don't make cute and cuddly pets people.
An alligator was spotted in Washburn County in the northern part of the state.
The off-duty sheriff's deputy that found the thing - while walking with his grandkids - shot the gator, because he feared it might hurt someone.
I hope he got a belt out of it. (Probably too small for a pair of boots.)
