Firing Anti-gay Employee Upheld

You would hope so. Wal-Mart Harassment Policy upheld in case of gay harassment ( : Chicago, IL News)

So she screamed at a gay colleague, and she was fired. She complained because screaming at gay colleagues is her right because of her religion, or something.
In September 2005, during a break Matthews took part in a religious conversation about homosexuality. She allegedly screamed over Amy, an out lesbian, that God does not accept gays, they should not "be on earth," and they will "go to hell" because they are not "right in the head." Five other employees confirmed Matthews had made the statements.
When she was fired for violating the harassment policy, she sued, saying it was her right - because of her religion - to be an intolerant, bigoted pain-in-the-ass during working hours.

The courts have said, "Nope." (This time by a federal appeals court in Illinois.)

But before you feel all sorry for the poor bigot fired worker, you can take solace in the fact that she is still collecting unemployment. (Since 2005?)

I wonder what the outcome would be if she were Muslim?

The law says she can believe what she wants. It does not say she can act like an asshole about it.
