The Joy of Socialized Medicine - You Don't Need to be Able to Walk or See

Hip and knee surgery is 'low priority' - Telegraph Knee and hip replacement, and cataract surgery. Not important.

And if you smoke, or are over weight, forget it.
GPs in Hertfordshire have agreed to bar smokers and those who are obese - with a body mass index over 30 - from routine joint replacement surgery.
So how long before they deny all health care to people who they believe don't deserve it?

Wasn't socialized medicine supposed to ensure universal care? Only if you toe the line. (How about motorcycle riders, or rock climbers, or sky divers or anybody who does anything they don't like?)

I can hardly wait for socialized medicine to come to America.
