Some Animals Are More Equal Than Others

Freedom for all? Not hardly. Religious freedom rally set | HeraldTribune.com
We have leaders from all faiths — Protestants, Jews, Catholics — as well as faithful from different political parties.
Yeah, that covers the spectrum - or that bit of the spectrum the Religious Right thinks matters.

Just for fun, here is a song from "The Waterboys."

These folks agitating for religious freedom are mostly the same folks who think we should allow Christian prayers in public schools and at public events.

And make no mistake, their "non-denominational" prayers are a thinly-veiled set of Christian prayers.

Well, as far as they're concerned, other religions aren't "real" religions anyway, just primitive superstitions that nobody pays attention to, so they don't really count.

Islam is only barely and grudgingly acknowledged as a religion, and only because it splintered from Judaism like Christianity did. But they don't consider it worthy of inclusion unless politics requires it.
