Roy Kinard III kidnapped his wife (who had seperated from him and obtained the court order). He then fired 5 shots from a Bersa Thunder .380 semiautomatic handgun at a police officer, but missed both the officer and his car.
Kinard was charged with multiple crimes, including kidnapping, attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, felon in possession of a firearm, five counts of shooting within an occupied vehicle, aggravated fleeing and eluding, reckless driving and violation of a domestic violence injunctionSo as someone once said, "All's well that ends well," but the restraining order had no protective value.
