Hold The Mayo has a nice post on the Volvo Around the World Race in I'd Rather Be Sailing. The Vovlo Ocean 60's are crewed by 12, and are some of the fastest monohulled sailboats ever built. Stephen at Hold the Mayo claims he would like to sail in this race. I never had the urge to sail around the world (parts of the oceans are really dangerous). Still the racing is pretty cool. They are currently in Day 4 of the second leg of the race, which runs from Cape Town, South Africa to Melbourne, Australia.
